Atlantic City, NJ!
Overview & Family Fun
Atlantic City is the resort and gaming capital of the East Coast, hosting over 27 million people a year, making it one of the most popular tourism sites in the United States. It has all you could want for a terrific summer vacation! There’s the beach (it’s free – yes, other beaches in NJ charge to enter – weird), the ocean, the sun and the boardwalk. There are all the fun activities you can find on the water. That includes surf, fishing, sailing, cruising, and parasailing.
There are lots of family fun things to do on or near the boardwalk – rides, games, the Aquarium, miniature golf. If you like shopping, there’s beachy shopping along the boardwalk and Tanger Outlets is nearby. Also, there’s no sales tax on clothing and shoes! A fun family adventure is to go to Absecon Light House, the tallest light house in NJ at 171 feet. Also see Amusement Parks and other ideas below.
If you need some evening fun before or after the Gaufest, Atlantic City has clubs and dancing, casinos and shows. Enjoy the sunset by the ocean or watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can enjoy strolling the 2-acre property and visiting the Keeper’s Cottage museum and gift shop.

Located in the heart of prohibition-unfriendly Atlantic City, Little Water Distillery is a craft distillery owned and operated by brothers Mark and Eric Ganter, producing small batch rum, whiskey, vodka and other artisan spirits for thirsty souls in the Garden State and beyond. We also offer educational tours and tastings at our facility along with a variety of special events throughout the year.
Tun Tavern Restaurant & Brewery is Atlantic City’s only brew pub! This tavern takes pride in being a fine restaurant as well as a brewery. Whether it’s inside soaking up the atmosphere or outside on the deck, the Tun Tavern provides a great dining experience.
